A Prom by any other name will still be fun

Prom. The event every senior looks forward to at the end of their graduating year will look a little different this year. Still threatened by the presence of COVID-19, the county has restricted some of the usual activities.

The now-called “Senior Formal” will take place on May 8 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6:30, and the court King and Queen will be announced at 9 p.m.

The theme is A Night and in Wonderland, and the venue at the Hyatt Recency will reflect this quite well with all the decorations and menu the Senior Board has been planning.

Only seniors will be allowed to attend this year because of COVID restrictions. They also must attend Riverview. Tickets bought by anyone outside those guidelines will be denied entrance without a refund.

The seniors, despite the circumstances, have an amazing senior formal planned, with much food, fun and other entertainment.

With only around 100 tickets left, interested seniors should go to https://www.rhsactivities.com/seniors for more information or to purchase a ticket.

The last day to purchase a ticket is April 28.

For any other questions, contact Senior Board via Instagram @riverview2021.
