Prom 2019: An Enchanted Night awaits seniors

With the school year coming to an end, many exciting events are quickly approaching. While underclassmen still have time left in high school and are looking forward to summer vacation, seniors are preparing for graduation and starting the next chapter of their lives. However, before it’s over, they still have Prom.

The 2019 Prom will take place on May 4 at the Hyatt Regency, with the theme of “An Enchanted Evening.” Any girl who has ever dreamed of wearing a ball gown and being a princess for a night, this is her chance.

Many students are extremely excited for the upcoming night.

“I’m so excited for prom because you get to see everyone dressed up and it’s kind of like your last hurrah before everyone goes their separate ways in college,” Victoria Snyder ’19 said.

Rachel Toole ’19 agrees with Snyder’s enthusiasm.

“This is kinda our last high school event, and our last chance to be all together before we graduate,” Toole said.

The Senior Board has spent lots of time planning out the perfect dance.

“We started meeting about Prom in January and first met with the party planner in February. We are all looking forward to seeing how it all comes together and if it all goes well. It’s going to be a beautiful evening,” says Allison McHenry ’19.

According to McHenry’s claim, this year’s Prom will not disappoint.

Unfortunately, there is also a group of seniors who aren’t quite as exhilarated for Prom. Some students simply want to graduate as quickly as possible.

“A lot of seniors aren’t really excited because they just wanna leave, but I don’t think they realize this is going to be one their last high school experiences. I think it’s going to be really fun, and I hope everyone goes, whether they have a date or not,” adds Nick Sanchez ’19.

It’s very important to remember that any senior can have fun at Prom with or without a date. Any senior can get a group of friends together and be sure to have a great time.

Tickets are on sale now. Seniors planning to make an appearance at this year’s Prom should not forget to grab their tickets in the breezeway before or after school while they last for $85 each.
