With spring break right around the corner, students are searching for a fun way to spend their well-deserved vacation. If anyone is planning a staycation but is tired of the beach, the Sarasota County Fair is a great option.
The Sarasota County Fair will be open from March 15- 24. Located at Robarts Arena, admission prices are $9 per person over the age of 13, plus an additional entrance fee of $2 on Mondays. Many people opt for a $20 wristband, allowing them to go on any ride an unlimited number of times all day.
The fair includes a multitude of rides, from a relaxing Ferris wheel to drop rides that will have one’s heart pounding.
If rides are not a favorite, there are many other entertainment options. There will be live shows, along with a great number of fun carnival games where participants can win prizes. Fair goers can’t forget about all of the food offered at the Sarasota County Fair. There are stands located all over the fairgrounds, offering a variety of desserts, fried foods and drinks.
“I’m not really a big fan of the rides, but I think the fair can be fun. There are a lot of games and stuff to do,” says Bianca Memic ‘19.
Nick Sanchez ‘19 is a fan of the rides.
“I love going to the fair. There’s tons of rides and it’s always fun,” he said.
It seems there is an option for everyone at the Sarasota County Fair. If this interests you, be sure to add this to your to-do list this upcoming spring break.
