Most students love to be involved with Riverview no matter if they’re in a club, sport or just having school spirit by showing up to some of the sports games, wearing Riverview merchandise. Being a Ram is fun, but these students might be able to experience being a part of something bigger than just a student.
Riverview many of sports that students love and enjoy. Being on any sports team brings out not only incredibly athletic people, but it also brings students closer as a Ram family.
Here are a few sports that are going on right now.
The RHS football team has been spending all summer doing summer workouts for tryouts.
“We spent all summer working out to try to reach our full potential so we can make the team,” said Nate Langlaise ‘20.
Apparently there really isn’t any real tryout for the team.
“We don’t cut players, so there really isn’t a tryout, but we have started practice and all three teams start, playing regular season,” head coach Josh Smithers said.
Anyone who ever wants to join the football team, should always know that there are summer workouts and practices before the school year starts.
Riverview has an amazing basketball team, which is led by the Head Coach BJ Ivey.
“We are holding tryouts on Nov. 3 this year,” said Ivey.
Basketball is fun to watch, but even better to play, if you’re competitive.
“If you’re a competitive person who understands basketball and is energetic, then basketball would be the sport to try out for,” said Arguel Drotleff ‘20.
It’s always wondrous to watch how much effort they put into this sport and amazes the crowd every time when they come to watch the incredible Ram Nation basketball team make history and be a part of some of the best sport teams we have to offer at Riverview.
Not only do sports allow you to be competitive and have fun, but they also allow you to experience unforgettable friendships and life-long memories that will last a lifetime. And, the coaches are the ones who truly help shape our students into better athletes and support them to reach their full potential.
Students never seem to regret taking part of one of our phenomenal athletic programs that we have to offer. And remember, our scholar athletes also earn scholarships to college.
